Windstar Cruises is a premium cruise line that operates a fleet of six yacht-style cruise ships. Windstar Travel Agent Training Program
Windstar Star Specialist
Graduates of Windstar’s Star Specialist program earn a $50 bonus commission for each of the three courses taken, as well as priority confirmation of available reservations at Windstar travel agent rates.
Graduates also earn 2 Travel Institute CEU credits, 2 ACTA credits, and 3 CLIA elective credits.
Windstar Travel Agent Rates and Fams
Windstar travel agent fares are available on most sailings, but vary depending on the occupancy level of each voyage.
Windstar offers familiarization trips annually to hosted travel agents, although there is no set number of trips per year. Travel counselors are invited by their regional sales manager.
Windstar Travel Agent Sales Representatives
Windstar’s travel agent-focused sales organization includes 10 sales representatives and supervisors. The full list is available on the Windstar travel agent portal, along with their biographies so advisors can determine who their best point of contact is based on their location and specific needs.
Travel agents who host an overnight cruise and include Windstar in a direct mail or email campaign, or other marketing activity, may request an exclusive $50 onboard credit per guest for all bookings made during the approved promotional period (maximum two weeks) . This opportunity is available to agencies, quarterly to a maximum of four times per year.
Windstar Travel Agent Recognition Program
The three-tier Club 180 program rewards top-performing individual travel agencies with incentives such as onboard credits for customers, additional marketing and sales support, priority service and onboard benefits for travel agents when they sail.
